An international award winning family leisure resort and golf club located in the South East of Spain. The resort is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery yet only 5 minutes from the coast. This is the area with the warmest, sunniest, and driest winter climate in Europe. In the summer months temperatures are tempered by a soothing afternoon breeze.
Getting there: Motorway links make the resort easily accessible, approximately 45 minutes from Almeria airport, 75 minutes from Murcia and one and three quarters of an hour from Alicante.
The golf course was inspired by the desert courses of Arizona and is an all year round delight to play; a stern test for the low handicap golfer and an enjoyable, unforgettable experience for all standards. The course has been host to two Spanish Amateur Championships and in 2007 is to host the Spanish seniors championship. The practice facilities are impressive, and have attracted both the English Golf Union and the Welsh Ladies Golf Union to use Desert Springs as their permanent winter training facility.

There are also plenty of activities for the non golfer including a Day Spa, The El Torrente clubhouse and restaurant, the Crocodile Club with it’s bars and restaurant, tennis, paddle, beach volleyball, gymnasium, swimming pool, and children’s play areas. In addition there is the Daley Thompson designed trim trail.
